The newspapers these days put lot of emphasis on people’s life- style and running trends. There is one noticeable element they always highlight, is of eating right and staying healthy. The reason behind this could be choices of wrong food type, wrong time table or even wrong eating patterns. There is a current trend in women as well as men of maintaining a svelte frame. In achieving this they literally forget to take the tried and tested path of exercising. They get attracted towards easy way like dieting. Dieting, if followed under professional guidance, shows fantastic results. One may get into proper shape, but it may damage the health. Crash- dieting falls under the category of eating disorder, which needs professional help.
Many times it is observed that people tend to over- eat when they are upset. In a famous 3D animation movie the Panda keeps munching when it is upset. It suits the movie characters only and does not really gel well with the real life. People over-eat and then they throw it up. This one is also a type of eating disorder. Eating disorder has many facets, like over eating, crash dieting, nausea etc. They are different names referring to only one thing, damaging the well being of people. It is not just trends and likings of the person which leads to this kind of disorder, but there are other factors which also contribute to this. In many cases it is stress at workplace or home, monetary problem, peer pressure etc. Many succumb to pressures our life offers us.
